Why participate?

If you register for IkPas, we will do everything we can to provide you with the best possible care during the month (or a longer number of days of your choice) in which you do not drink alcohol. coach. If you sign up for IkPas, you get your own dashboard with a number of useful functions:

  • The IkPas coach: a personal source of information that you can call upon if you have questions about IkPas or if you need something advice need during difficult times. The IkPas coach is ready for you!
  • A forum where you experiences exchanges with other participants
  • Your personal diary to keep track of your progress and experiences
  • Badges you can to deserve in all kinds of situations, such as resisting alcohol at a dinner party or birthday party.
  • Unique content which is only available to participants, such as: informative articles, tasty non-alcoholic recipes, useful tips and useful facts.
  • The ability to set the contact frequency yourself. Would you like to receive a weekly newsletter, would you like to hear from us every day or just once every two weeks? You decide!
  • The large benefit of your own IkPas account is that we can support you during your challenge and that you can make contact with fellow IkPassers. Because you experience a break period together.

THIS GIVES YOU PARTICIPATION WITH IKPASS YOU

Of course we don't just shout something when we talk about the benefits of temporarily not drinking alcohol. Tranzo, the scientific center for care and welfare of Tilburg University, has been doing this for years research into the effects of not drinking among the participants of IkPas. And there are quite a few:

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AWARENESS

By temporarily not drinking alcohol you notice the role alcohol (often unconsciously) plays in your life. 58% of the participants are more aware of their alcohol consumption after IkPas and choose more aware or, when and how much they want to drink instead of acting out of habit.

DRINK LESS ALCOHOL

By participating in IkPas you also drink structurally after the break period less. Six months after IkPas, participants drank on average over 30% less than before the break period.

BETTER SLEEP

By temporarily not drinking alcohol you sleep better. 62% van de deelnemers kan dat beamen. En ook deelnemers die in het verleden slaapdagboeken invulden, hadden die ervaring.

FEELING PHYSICALLY FITTER

Not drinking alcohol makes you feel fitter. Dit wordt door 66% van de deelnemers bevestigd. Een aantal deelnemers maakten bijvoorbeeld ook melding van persoonlijke toptijden bij hardlopen.

FEELING MENTAL FITTER

You also have mental profit van geen alcohol drinken. 66% van de deelnemers ervaart dit.

BETTER TO SAY 'NO'

Not drinking alcohol also takes some getting used to for your environment; you will have to be steadfast in it to refuse of 'circles'. 64% is better able to say 'no' to alcohol after the break period. They don't necessarily have to be the BOB for that!

GOOD EXAMPLE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

With a pause period you set a example to young people. 50% of the participants feel that they have actually done so. Young people also notice this, as our research showed.

BREAKING HABIT BEHAVIOR

Participating in IkPas means you habits breaking through. No less than 43.5% of the participants feel that they have actually done so. And if it can be done with alcohol, it can also be done with chocolate. But that's another challenge...

TO LOSE WEIGHT

32% of the participants is after the IkPas action weight lost. An important reason for many participants to drink less alcohol, even after IkPas.

SAVE MONEY

By not buying alcohol, saves 55% of the participants money. And you can do other fun things with it.

  • What does participation in IkPas cost?

    Participation in IkPas is free!

  • Can I also participate if I drink very little or not at all?

    Yes! Even if you drink very little or nothing, you still get something for yourself. For example, learn to say 'no' when it comes to peer pressure, see why you drink if you do drink.. etc etc. IkPas is for everyone!

  • I am unable to register

    You can register for the 'bridging challenge' and the '40 days without a drop' challenge via 'My challenges'. Make sure you are logged in and then press https://ikpas.nl/wizard/challenge-aanmaken/selecteer-je-challenge/.

     

     

  • What if I did drink?

    Shame, but it is what it is. There is no reason to stop using IkPas 'because you haven't made it yet'. You've noticed it and you're learning from it. Cheer up, just keep going 🙂 Read about this topic too this article.

  • How do you feel about non-alcoholic beer?

    We find the following for non-alcoholic wine and beer; we will never actively promote it as an alternative, because you still keep the association with alcohol. You don't think of alcohol when you think of a coke or apple juice, but when you think of alcohol-free wine or an alcohol-free beer.

    On the other hand: in moderation and if it helps you to complete your challenge, of course we don't forbid it!

     

  • When will IkPas take place again?

    You can start your own challenge at IkPas any time of the year. When you are logged in and you go to your dashboard, you can click on the button in the top right that leads to the choice for a new challenge or create a challenge yourself. With this last option you can choose a period yourself and give your challenge your own name and invite others to a team. This way you can complete this challenge alone or in a team. In addition, IkPas organizes a monthly challenge every month for which you can register.

  • I want to change my email address

    Your email address is your username and is linked to your account. Unfortunately we cannot change that. You can still receive the newsletters at a different email address: mail us for that!

  • Why am I not sleeping well?

    The first days that you do not drink alcohol, you can indeed sleep worse.

    That's the withdrawal. When that phase is over you will see that you sleep more deeply and that your sleep is of better quality.

    Hang in there, it should get better in a few days!

    In the meantime, try turning off screens a little earlier (the blue light from the screen stops the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone), maybe a relaxing tea, doing something relaxing before bed, supplements with valerian ..

     

  • Where can I buy such a wristband?

    Our wristbands are for sale via the IkPas website, www.ikpas.nl/webshop.

  • I want to delete my account

    You can, you do that in your profile in your dashboard.

  • What is the difference between a challenge and a team?

    When you sign up, you need to sign up for a challenge. That is the period in which you put your alcohol consumption on a break. We have the Dry January challenge (30 days), the Lent challenge (40 days), but you can also join a challenge later in the year.

    You always participate in a challenge alone, but you can also participate in a team. You can also participate in 1 challenge with different teams. You can view your challenges and your teams here: https://ikpas.nl/challenges/

  • Don't you have an app?

    Our app was outdated & incomplete and will no longer be updated. That's why we removed it from the app store & deactivated it in the Play store. But… our renewed IkPas website has been built in such a way that it can be viewed perfectly on your phone. All functions are available in the web interface. So go on your phone in your browser to www.ikpas.nl and get started!
