A hint of mint

Ingredients for 1 carafe

  • 2 pieces of ripe figs
  • 3 sprigs of mint
  • 1 teaspoon flower honey
  • 1 coffee cup of warm water
  • 1 liter tap water
  • ice cubes

Preparation method

  • wash the mint and leave the leaves of 2 sprigs on the stem
  • from the other twig pick the leaves. Roll them up and strike them gently with the back of a knife. Then poke the mint sprig through it
  • Peel the figs so that you only have the beautiful red flesh left and cut it into parts
  • Fill a cup with hot water and dissolve the honey in it
  • Fill the carafe with the fig wedges, honey water, mint sprigs and the sprig with rolled mint
  • Add some ice cubes and fill the carafe with cold tap water

Tip

You can also put a treacle soldier in the carafe instead of flower honey or a combination of both. The syrup soldier dissolves slowly in the water and gives a sweet taste and a light brown color.
