What can you encounter in the first two weeks

I pass is for anyone who drinks alcohol. It's a moment when you can see what alcohol does to you. Not everyone experiences IkPas in the same way. Everyone's body is different and everyone handles alcohol differently. People who participate in IkPas notice changes in their bodies. Some feel little of it, while others feel a lot.

You may suffer from:

• to sweat

• nausea

• bad sleeping

• fatigue

• restless feeling

• raised blood pressure

• muscle cramp

• stretched

• anxious feelings

• gloom

• lethargy

• shaking hands.

In itself it is fine if you have some complaints during the first 2 weeks of your challenge. The course of these complaints can be mild for some, but also more severe for others. If you feel that the consequences are too intense, it is wise to contact your doctor or the GP post.

Advices for different drinkers.

  • I drink 0 to 1 glass a day

The amount of alcohol you drink is slightly more than the advice of the health council. As far as your participation in IkPas is concerned, it is to be expected that you will notice little to mild withdrawal symptoms during the first week of your participation. In particular, poor sleep and a short-term restless feeling can occur.

  • I drink 1 to 4 glasses a day

The amount of alcohol you drink means that there is a chance that you will experience mild withdrawal symptoms. Most people in this category have no significant complaints, but describe the first two weeks as difficult.

  • I drink 5 to 10 glasses a day

The amount of alcohol you drink makes it more likely that you will experience withdrawal symptoms. You may experience the above complaints during the first or first two weeks. If you are not familiar with it, you can always talk to the IkPas coach to discuss how you are doing. The IkPas coach never gives medical advice and will also advise you in some cases to  to go to your doctor.

  • I drink more than 10 glasses a day

The amount of alcohol you drink means that you can experience severe withdrawal symptoms when you participate in Ikpas. It is certainly wise to speak to your doctor about this before you start. If you find this difficult or still want to try it, keep a close eye on how you feel for the first two weeks. When you feel that you can't take it anymore, call your doctor immediately or send a message to the IkPas coach. We are also there for you when you are having a hard time, you will receive an answer within 24 hours. Again, the advice is to talk to your doctor or another medical care provider about the IkPas challenge you want to take on before you start.
