Staphorst is a municipality in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The municipality has 17,000 inhabitants.

The IJsselland region is an environment in which drinking alcohol is often 'normal'. At parties and birthdays, during dinner, before going to sleep, after sports or at a Friday afternoon drink. People are not always aware of the habit of drinking alcohol on more and more occasions. By means of the IkPas we want to make residents of the municipality of Staphorst feel better physically and mentally in the long term and encourage them to drink less alcohol by putting their alcohol consumption on a break. To make residents think about their own alcohol consumption.
